		Dating back to 1460 The Olde Moat House bed and breakfast provides a haven of peace and tranquillity. Poised in the depths of the English Countryside on the Kent / Sussex Borders this B&B provides the perfect base from which to explore the surrounding tourist attractions that the Kent / Sussex area has to offer.
		Of course, you don't have to travel far to enjoy this area - in fact many of our guests like to enjoy the 3.5 acres of garden which includes a moat and our pet sheep! There is outside seating so that you can while away some time just enjoying the English countryside. There are local pubs within walking (about 10 to 15 minutes) distance and we are right on the edge of the Romney Marsh famed for the exploits of many smugglers and the infamous Dr Syn - a supposedly mythical character - but who knows, anything seems possible here. There is also the Nature Reserve and a multitude of walks to enjoy. The cottage boasts 3 luxurious bedrooms and can sleep up to 6 people. All rooms are en-suite and spacious - to accommodate a lengthy stay if necessary! In an hours drive or less you can be in the historic and mediaeval city of Canterbury, the channel tunnel, Dover, Folkestone, Tenterden, Rye, and Hastings. Tourist attractions include: Romney Marsh, Romney Hythe & Dymchurch Railway, Battle with its Abbey and the site of the Battle of Hastings, Hastings itself with sealife centre, castle, dungeon and caves. Camber Sands with acres of sandy beaches etc. Then you have a number of local vineyards, a number of castles including the one at Leeds, Maidstone with its maze, Chatham Docks with its various attractions and an array of garden open to the public. Kent and East Sussex have much to offer visitors for short breaks and this bed and breakfast accommodation offers much of what you might need if you are planning to book accommodation from which to explore Kent and Sussex.
